Biography
Timothy Lupia is an American tenor, performing operatic roles, concerts, and original songs. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, he balances life as a professional performer and teacher. His charismatic conduct has delighted audiences in such roles as Tamino in Die Zauberflöte, Chevalier de la Force in Dialogues des Carmélites, and Alfred in Die Fledermaus. He has sung with Central City Opera, Seagle Festival, CoOPERAtive, and Penn Square Music Festival. His sundry repertoire also includes roles in new American operas such as Dallas in Service Provider and Mark Twain in Harmony. In the summer of 2024, he performed as Gleb in Anastasia and Jacey Squires in The Music Man at Keystone Theatrics.
Timothy has performed with orchestras as the tenor soloist in Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, Handel’s Messiah Part I, and Orff’s Carmina Burana. In addition to concert work, he has sung recitals including works by Schumann, Finzi, and Heggie. Timothy is the tenor section leader at Pine Street Presbyterian Church in Harrisburg, PA. He serves as a contributing faculty member at Dickinson College, as a voice teacher at Lebanon Valley College’s Community Music Institute, and he maintains a private studio. He is also an English teacher at East Pennsboro Area School District. Timothy received his bachelor’s degrees in Music and Economics at Lebanon Valley College, and he received his master’s degree in Voice Performance and Pedagogy at Westminster Choir College. In June 2023, he released an EP, Windowpane, as the musical project, Lupia.
